I'm still alive

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 29, 2007, 8:13 AM
Yes, I'm still here. I haven't renewed my subscription for the pure fact that there is just way too much anime on this site now. I like stuff done by Hayao Miyazaki, but that's about the extent of it. American anime annoys me greatly, and it seems that everyone under the age of 16 wants to imitate it.

I know it may be a "stupid" reason for not subscribing again, but it's my reason and I'm standing by it. If there were a simple "anime filter" or even one that would filter out artists of a certain age group, I would be happy. I realize that there are a lot of young artists out there who make really cool stuff, but a filter would still be nice.

I do some website design on the side, but dA doesn't have many resources for that. I could go to other sites and easily search for CSS designs or Joomla! templates based on certain criteria. I personally don't bring much to the table other than websites. I'd love to share and archive some designs, but a screenshot doesn't do them justice at all.

So there you go. I haven't submitted stuff in a long time, and I probably won't much more, but I'll be around every once in a while.

Hey! I like your work....a TAD bit egocentric...maybe...but it's still good photography none the less!

Oh, and they really DO need an anime/under 16 filter. I'll second you on that. Besides, who wants to pay money just to browse through tons of anime?...hell, just goto any comic book store!!!

Aww c'mon! It's like ice cream! If you like ice cream once, you still have to kinda like ice cream a little sometime. Sure, sometimes it can make your head hurt if you have too much, but you'll always come back for more.

Okay, I forgot what I was talking about again. Oh right, Fischerspooner.

Hello, :)

I've got a fairly unconventional request...

I run a live action roleplaying game (larp) and I'm looking for people who will allow me to use their stock photos to create images for storyteller-run characters in the game. The game is non-profit, and the only place the images would be seen are on badges the storytellers wear so the players know what character they're dealing with, and on the larp website (where stock-providers will be credited).
I'm wondering if I may use some of your stock for this, provided I post the resulting images to DA and include all proper links back to your DA acct and credit you in the description. Would that be okay?
